Happy new year! This was a good week. I just got heaps of
relation this week just on some doctrine and we had a huge miracle on saturday!
We were on the way home from a lesson and 2 guys came up to us and started
talking to us and they want to learn! We will have the first lesson with them
this week. Also Alen comes back from china on the 6th and will be baptized on
the 9th im so excited for him. The main things i have learned this week are 1
feasting upon the word of god and 2nd about trials. This week they linked
together. Throughout my entire mission i can think back and see major trials. I
see it like dispensations first nothing is wrong then i will have a huge trial
then i will get over it then nothing again then i get transffered or a big
change happens. First i will notice something is wrong then ill study and thing
about the scriptures and pray alot more. Then ill recognize what the thing i
need to do and improve on is. Then the problem will be fixed and the big change
comes. Each time this has happened i can think back and really see the change.
I really think that trials are something thats good. each time a trail comes i
have the opportunity to change for the better. When i think back on my mission
i can see the major problems and see how that problem has made me seek more
revalation to fix it. I have also noticed that sometimes the problem does not
get fixed right away but i just have to endure for a little while but the
answer alwase comes. Trials are good and they should be seen as a way we can grow
and improve. "…the
Final Judgment is not just an evaluation of a sum total of good and evil acts—what we have done. It is an acknowledgment of the final
effect of our acts and thoughts—what
we have become.
(A friend from the mission) But in order to change we need the
revalation to do so. In the scriptures it talks about "feasting upon the
words of Christ" That does not mean just read. It means to read,
think and pray about the words. All of the answers to my problems have come by
this. I think that thinking about what has been read is really important. when
in trials ill read a scripture that will stand out alot. Then i will think
about how it applies to the situation im in. Then ill pray and the answer
comes. Im really greatfull for the scriptures and all the things that can be
learned from them. Helamen13;8 helped me this week its really interesting the
last line.
